When close family members of a foreign researcher wish to live in Croatia, they have to go through several procedures – visa issuance (if necessary), registration of address, stay approval, and registration with the Croatian Health Insurance Fund.

EEA citizens on short-term stay (up to 3 months) in Croatia are not obligated to report their address. However, if they plan to stay longer than 3 months it is recommended to register the address of residence within 15 days from the day of the arrival to Croatia, or from the change of the address.
