Since the Seventh Framework Programme is coming to a close, at the beginning of July the European Commission announced the biggest ever set of calls for proposals. In total, €8.1 billion is available for projects proposed through these calls, and in most scientific areas these are the last calls to be published in FP7 before the new programme Horizon 2020 starts in 2014. In the last 10 days 60 calls for proposals have been opened: Cooperation - Health - Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Biotechnology - Information and Communication Technologies - Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies - Energy - Environment (including Climate Change) - Transport (including Aeronautics) - Socio-economic sciences and Humanities - Space - Security - Joint Technology Initiatives Ideas - ERC Starting Grant - ERC Advanced Grant People - host-driven actions ITN, COFUND and IRSES Capacities - Research Infrastructures - Research for the benefit of SMEs - Science in Society - Support for the coherent development of research policies - International Cooperation Euratom - Nuclear Fission, Safety and Radiation Protection The calls are available on the Research Participant Portal and you can turn for help to your National Contact Points.
